A Four-Field Approach

Anthropology is the study of all things human. While this may sounds like a sweeping exaggeration, Anthropology is the only field of study that draws on physical, biological and social sciences to answer questions about where we came from as a species,  how we live, and where we are going. It’s called the 4-field approach, and, broadly defined, those fields break down into cultural anthropology, archaeology, linguistics and bioanthropology. This blog is a consortium of anthropologists with a broad range of interests and expertise, with a unique eye on the world and the people who live in it.
